Mr. Jackson is currently Chairman of Boxcar Holdings, LLC, a collection of business and philanthropic initiatives that include sports properties, real estate holdings, and Broadway and casino entertainment ventures of which he is the managing general partner and/or majority owner.
A former Harlem Globetrotters basketball player, Mr.
Jackson purchased the team in 1993 and restored the bankrupt organization to one of the most admired and publicized teams in the world.
Prior to taking the reins as owner and chairman of the Harlem Globetrotters, he was Corporate Officer and World Marketing Senior Vice President of Honeywell, Inc., and with General Motors.
Mr. Jackson has served on the board of directors of several publicly-held companies including True North, Jostens, Ashland Oil, Reebok, Trans-America, Acorn Energy, and Stanley Black and Decker.
He is a founding member and former president of the Executive Leadership Council, and former chairman of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
A graduate of the University of Illinois, he has completed post-graduate work at Detroit and Wharton.
