Maki Kaplinsky is Co-founder & Chair/COO of ASKA, a Silicon Valley air mobility company founded in 2018, and developer of ASKA™ A5 drive & fly Electric Vertical Take-off and Landing vehicle (eVTOL). Maki is a serial entrepreneur and her first start-up specialized in government-related technology transfer projects in over 15 countries.
Her second start-up, IQP Corporation, was an early innovator in the Internet of Things and she concluded a successful M&A to GE in 2017.
Her industry recognition includes being featured on the cover of Forbes magazine as one of the 100 leading self-made women in Japan and the world and to be named among 200 founders by Inc. Magazine as 2023’s Most Dynamic Women Entrepreneurs.
Maki holds a Master’s degree, Experimental Psychology, from Bar-Ilan University in Israel and a Bachelor’s degree in Science, from Buckingham University in the UK.
