Topaç had acted in the capacity of
the Head of Marketplaces and Head of Sales at GittiGidiyor, the Turkish subsidiary of eBay.
Topaç graduated from TED Ankara College from the ITU Faculty of Architecture with a degree in the field of education. He continued his graduate studies at the same faculty and graduated as an architect.
In 1999, Topaç switched to the internet industry and worked at Gedik Holdings, a company that was initially founded as a manufacturer of welding consumables. He developed a number of electronic commerce projects in many different areas, and created Gedikgross.com, a Turkish e-commerce website. Topaç is also primarily responsible for the acquisition of ekonomikticaret.com, a popular e-commerce site in Turkey. He also launched promotional campaigns targeting the sale of products through a deals-based platform called pazartesisendromu.com.
In 2010, Topaç moved to Dixons Retail/Electro World, where he established alternative sales channels, before moving to Gittigidiyor/eBay Turkey in 2011.
At Gittigidiyor, Topaç worked as a technology business development manager before serving as the director of marketplaces.
