Lucy Peng is the Chief Executive Officer of Lazada Group.
Lucy Peng was appointed in March 2013 as Chief Executive Officer of Alibaba Small and Micro Financial Services Group. In that role, she is directly responsible for innovation in financial services that address the needs of small and micro enterprises as well as consumers. Later, she became
the CEO of Ant Financial and later the Executive Chair of Ant Financial until April 2018.
As one of the founders of Alibaba Group, Lucy has served in a number of other senior leadership roles in different divisions including marketing and customer service, thereby accumulating a wealth of experience in customer satisfaction and in maintaining company cultures.
From January 2010 to February 2013, she served as Chief Executive Officer of Alipay, responsible for strengthening the synergy between Alipay and businesses under Alibaba Group as well as enhancing the customer experience of Alipay in an effort to build China’s best electronic-payment platform.
Before taking on her current position, Lucy served as Chief People Officer of Alibaba Group for more than a decade, playing a leading role in formulating human resources strategies to support the Group’s rapid development while preserving its value-based culture.
Lucy graduated from Hangzhou Institute of Commerce of Zhejiang Gongshang University in 1994 with a Degree in Business Administration and taught for five years at Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics after graduation.
