Lucas Ackerson is a leadership consultant and organizational professional with 13 years of experience in helping individuals grow into leadership roles. With a foundation built during his time as a college track athlete, he developed essential traits such as discipline, resilience, and determination. These values continue to guide his approach to

Lucas served as Assistant Principal-Athletic Director within a Scottsdale-based school district. In this leadership role, he managed strategic initiatives, ensuring accurate execution, proper planning, and effective resource allocation. His oversight helped ensure that project goals were consistently met and professionally delivered.
He introduced structured performance review practices and supported evaluation methods that improved operational efficiency and decision-making. Through consistent communication with leadership teams, staff, and external partners, he strengthened collaboration. In addition to administrative responsibilities, he served as a coach and advisor to teacher leaders and staff, boosting confidence and readiness for key responsibilities.
He also contributed to improvements in the athletic program by establishing consistent processes and enhancing organizational systems. One of his significant achievements was negotiating a new Nike Elite Contract and Sports agreement that benefited the school’s athletic department.
Lucas later worked in Educational Services for a K–12 district in Arizona. His focus was on supporting students, teachers, administrators, and the broader school community in their efforts to promote academic excellence. His responsibilities included teacher training and support, as well as serving as a behavioral coach, instructional coach, curriculum coordinator, and PLC facilitator.
Before that, he worked as a fourth and fifth-grade teacher and instructional leader at a school in Scottsdale. He collaborated with fellow educators to align both in-person and remote instruction with state guidelines. He used the Check-in and Check-out (CICO) program to identify behavioral patterns among kindergarten students. In his classroom, he promoted independent thinking and fostered a safe, supportive learning environment.
He spent six years teaching second through fourth grade in schools located in Wisconsin. He followed data-driven teaching practices and used platforms such as I-Ready to improve instructional outcomes. He maintained a student data system to inform planning and improve instructional effectiveness.
Lucas trained educators in the use of Fast Bridge for assessment and future planning, implemented Kagan structures to boost student engagement, and served as a PBIS Tier 1 coach. As part of this role, he created a PBIS Expectations Video that helped foster a safer, more positive school climate.
Alongside teaching, he served as a teacher, instructional leader, and supported classroom behavioral strategies. As a Responsive Classroom Trainer, he consistently applied strategies to promote student engagement and create a productive classroom environment.
His contributions extended to school culture-building through the development of a video promoting unity and community. As Science Curriculum Director, he led instruction based on Universal Design for Learning and implemented FOSS (Full Option Science System) practices to support inquiry-based science learning. He received a $500 grant from the Herb Kohl Educational Foundation to enhance classroom science resources and created STEM lessons aligned with grade-level expectations.
In addition to his educational career, he worked as a Restaurant Supervisor at a Scottsdale restaurant group. His responsibilities included analyzing performance data to support better decision-making, applying sales strategies to improve customer experience, and exceeding revenue targets.
He also managed employee development, oversaw financial processes, and participated in investor discussions. He worked closely with leadership to align operations with business goals.
Lucas Ackerson earned a Bachelor of Science in Middle Childhood and Early Adolescents Education with a minor in Social Studies from a university in Wisconsin, where he also competed as a student-athlete and worked as a coach.
He went on to complete a Master’s degree in Administration Leadership from a college in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. He later earned a PhD in Organizational Leadership – K12 Education from a university in Phoenix. His dissertation focused on the link between resilience and academic success.
He values family and faith, and he actively gives back to the community through volunteer work. In his personal time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing, and staying active.
