Lou has 43 years experience in semiconductor manufacturing and semiconductor equipment engineering, applications, sales, marketing and product development.
Lou joined Applied in 1979 when the entire company was in Building 1. He was Program manager for the 1st generation etch technology then led the acquisition team for Lintott Engineering which
became the Applied Implant Division. Lou lived in Horsham, UK for 4 years where he directed the development and launch of the Precision 9000 implanter.
Lou left Applied Materials in 1988 and has held VP level positions at Advanced Energy, MRS Technology and TEL. He joined Varian in 2010 and returned to Applied with the Varian acquisition.
