Experienced Physician and Business Leader Dr. Linus Anukwu After earning his medical degree from the University of Lagos, Dr. Linus Anukwu practiced medicine in Nigeria and became a senior medical administrator. Dr. Linus Anukwu relocated to the United States in 2000, becoming a postdoctoral research fellow at Johns Hopkins University and
completing a residency in internal medicine at Brown University.
From 2003 to 2012, Dr. Anukwu held overlapping positions as a family practice physician with Provena Medical Group in Champaign, Illinois, and a faculty lecturer at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UICU) and Saint James Medical School. During this period, Dr. Anukwu founded Bayview Family Clinic and co-founded Precious Nurses Healthcare. He served as president and CEO of these companies for 12 and 10 years, respectively.
In the mid-2010s, Dr. Anukwu returned to the academic setting to earn a master of business administration at UICU. In addition to his graduate degrees, he is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and a member of both the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Practice.
