Leycot is a media and technology entrepreneur, luxury real estate investor, startups mentor and life coach.
A serial entrepreneur, Leycot founded his first startup at 18 while at college, grew it to profitability and sold it 2 years later. Leycot currently serves as Founder/CEO at Kurtiva, a leading digital entertainment and mobile
technology group, headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria and business offices in the commercial cities of US and Ghana. its applications development and mobile commerce studio is based out of Maharashtra, India. Today, Kurtiva entertains millions of consumers around the globe, providing tailored premium content solutions, streaming channels and technology driven marketing services to the world’s best of breed telecommunication, media, and retail companies. Leycot also serves on the board of other companies, with interests in retail fashion, luxury real estate and asset management.
Post college and prior to founding Kurtiva (formerly M10 Africa) in 2010, Leycot served in various leadership roles within the African continent spanning over a decade, where he gained valuable experience across mobile and digital media, payments, identity management, public sector, advertising, lifestyle fashion, and brand strategy. Specific in-country African wide experience includes Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, and Benin Republic. He was part of the management team that grew a mobile technology start up and took it public in Nigeria. His knack for breaking new grounds in unchartered terrains earned him two special commendation letters while at one of Nigeria’s foremost enterprise technology and identity management solutions provider.
Leycot is passionate about technologies that simplify living and enables meaningful and fulfilling digital conversations between brands and their audiences. In 2019, Leycot and his team at Kurtiva launched Wixio (a gaming start up) to simplify gaming entertainment solutions for mobile carriers and digital platforms in Africa and the Middle East. The team is currently working on a first of its kind P2P Fintech platform, a white label video streaming service and a mobile advertising app set to disrupt the digital marketing space, with capacity to reach 3 billion people at once.
Leycot combines his executive tasks with mentoring young entrepreneurs’ and is a longtime advocate of diversity and inclusion. He is passionate about causes that promote gender-based inclusion and equal opportunities in the workplace. A member of several work-related councils including DDEX and IAB, Leycot earned a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics from Ambrose Ali University, Nigeria and is an alumnus of the prestigious Lagos Business school.
