Lesya Hendrix is the Founder and CEO of Spacer Robotics, where she leads the development of autonomous robotic systems designed for Earth and lunar construction. With engineering and business expertise spanning Tesla, Nuro, and Scania, Lesya brings a unique ability to bridge AI, robotics, product design, and large-scale manufacturing.
A global
leader with Swedish-Ukrainian roots, Lesya has launched prototypes, scaled teams, and built factories across the U.S., Mexico, and Europe. She is passionate about advancing purposeful automation, fostering strong team culture, and supporting women in deep tech and hardware.
Her early inspiration came from her Ukrainian grandfather, a physicist: “He was the most inspirational person in my life - instead of fairy tales before bedtime, he told me about the universe and physics.” That curiosity-driven foundation still fuels her approach to science, technology, and building the future.
Outside of work, Lesya is an avid reader, stock market enthusiast, and dedicated dog person - very much so. Her rescue dogs also play a role in her journey: Frosty, saved just two hours before being euthanized after two prior abandonments, proudly serves as Spacer Robotics’ Chief Bark Officer. Barry, a certified therapy dog since 2021, holds the title of Chief Emotional Support Officer.
Lesya’s work combines visionary engineering with entrepreneurial grit, positioning her as a leading voice in the future of robotics, AI, and sustainable innovation.
