Mr. Ott is CTO and Vice President of Engineering responsible for Socket Mobile's strategic technical direction. He also manages the Company’s internal IT infrastructure. Joining Socket Mobile in March 1994, Mr. Ott has held increasingly responsible positions at Socket Mobile, initially as Senior Software Engineer and then Director of Software
Development. Mr. Ott has been active in various trade associations and technical groups setting standards for mobile devices including the Bluetooth Special Interest Group, the CompactFlash Association and the Secure Digital Association. Before joining Socket Mobile, Mr. Ott was Vice President of Research and Development with Vision Network Systems. He holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley.
