Leo Oshroff

Miami Beach Senior High. He and his family were founding members of Temple Emanuel. Leo attended University of Florida where he later graduated from Law School. He was a proud member of the Pi Lam fraternity. It was at this time that he became very involved in the Civil Rights Movement. His passion as a Jew and Zionist made him realize his dream of moving to Israel. He moved in 1950. He began his years in Israel, living in the Negev, building the Kibbutz, Moshabei Sadeh. It was at this time, he met his beloved Tamar. Leo went on to manage the Dan Tel Aviv. From there he built ARTA, a business similar to Office Depot, with more focus on the Art industry, with thirty franchises throughout Israel. Leo and Tamar went on to become pivotal people in Israel's art industry and prestigious leaders in Israel's business community. Leo and Tamar settled in Savyon. They had three children David, Eva and Malka. From them came eight grandchildren. Leo was blessed with a very large and close extended family. There wasn't a cousin or a friend from the States that didn't spend time in Leo and Tamar's warm and welcoming home. Those who were blessed to know Leo knew of his incredible love for his sister, Joanie Harris. For those privy to this we will be forever blessed. Leo is survived by his beloved wife Tamar, his son David, Nili, Eli, Dina, Ruth, Noa and Yair, Eva, Uri and Roni, Malka, Gideon, Yuval, Rona and Noga. He is survived by the Mashiach family. Lastly, he is predeceased by his sister, Joan. He is survived by her family Joe, Judy, Kenny, Alex, Jordan and Jeffrey, Jamie, Cindy, Rebecca, Ariel and Mori, Jonathan, Stacey, Brandon, Alyssa, Aviva and Dahlia, Joshua, Ana, Jacob, Ben, Ellie and Joanna.
