Lauren Redding is publisher of Rookie, an online magazine, book series, and podcast made by and for teenagers. Lauren joined Rookie in 2011 shortly after its founding by then 15-year-old Tavi Gevinson. A platform for the next generation of voices, Rookie explores the human experience through a teenage and feminist lens, publishing essays, pop
culture coverage, teenage diaries, photo editorials, video series, interviews, comics, roundtables, and DIYs.
Lauren drives Rookie‘s expansion both online and off, which has included developing and launching two book series (published with Razorbilll, an imprint of Penguin Random House), a podcast (season one in partnership with MTV), events series, national book tours, branded merchandise, and more. The Rookie Yearbooks, Rookie‘s first book series, are distributed globally, and have been translated for key international markets. Rookie on Love, the first book in Rookie‘s next series, will be released in early 2018.
