Larry MacDonald joined the Enerkem Board of Directors in October 2011.
With over 35 years experience in the chemicals sector, Mr. MacDonald is a seasoned international business executive with hands-on management expertise in finance, manufacturing, information technology, logistics, procurement and M&A activities.
Mr. MacDonald was Senior
Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at NOVA Chemicals Corporation, where he spent 30 years in senior executive functions, before retiring in December 2009. NOVA Chemicals develops and manufactures plastics and
chemicals for consumer, industrial and packaging products.
In 2011, the Chemical Institute of Canada and the Society of Chemical Industry awarded Mr. MacDonald the Canada Medal for an outstanding contribution in creating a stronger, more responsible and sustainable chemicals industry in Canada.
He is currently the co-chair of the board for the Sarnia-Lambton Industrial Alliance and from 1998 until 2009 was on the board of the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada.
Mr. MacDonald holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Windsor. He is a Chartered Accountant and is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors.
