Lance is a local business owner, family man, philanthropist and ocean-loving artist.
Lance was originally securities and insurance licensed in 1994 when he worked for Lincoln Financial Group. Prior to forming Nexus Wealth Advisors, Lance was a financial advisor with Waddell & Reed, Inc.
Lance learned about money, markets, small business
management and cash flow at an early age. His grandpa Vern would hand him the business section of the paper and quiz him on the stocks they owned starting when he was 8 years old. From the stock room to the board room, Lance’s dad, grandpa and uncle would teach him about the inner workings of family-owned businesses.
Lance has a calling to help people strip the stress from money so they can focus on living life fully and doing what they love. He founded Nexus Wealth Advisors with the intent of crafting a financial services firm that provides clients with choices, simplicity, value, quality, transparency and exceptional care. His vision is that with each choice, each option, the firm manifests as a nexus of financial peace.
An entrepreneur at heart, Lance has created several companies, including American Life Solutions, Coastline Funding Group, IntelliZoom and ROI By Design. He excelled as a top producer, earning positions in the exclusive Gold Medalist Program and Circle of Champions. Lance holds a degree in Economics from UC Santa Cruz and participated in coursework toward a Doctorate of Clinical Psychology program at Alliant International University in San Diego. In 2007, he completed the Business Professionals Course (BPC-38), a rigorous two-year professional program produced by The Aji Network.
Lance has been in the Santa Cruz area since 1991 and currently lives in Scotts Valley with his wife and two children. In pursuing his passion for helping children and the environment, he is involved with several nonprofit organizations, such as Community Foundation of Santa Cruz County, Court Appointed Special Advocates of Santa Cruz County (CASA) and The Coastal Watershed Council. Lance created Nexus of Change as an initiative to coordinate and amplify positive change in Santa Cruz County and our world. Lance is a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and also has a passion for nature, the ocean in particular.
His favorite activities include tennis, hiking, surfing, diving, nature photography, carving stone and connecting with people. He also loves exploring and discovering nature with his children.
