Kurt manages the EIT Health Accelerator. This Accelerator is based on a European network of excellent partners to incubate, validate and scale new business ideas in health for a European outreach and impact. EIT Health is one of the largest healthcare initiatives worldwide, leveraging the expertise of more than 130 leading academic and industry
organisations. With a budget of 2 billion EUR over the next decade, it will purposefully invest in Europe’s best entrepreneurial talents and creative minds to foster the development and commercialization of smart product and service solutions in the health sector, addressing the challenges imposed by demographic change and ageing societies. Kurt gained his Doctorate at FAU (Erlangen) with research stays at TUM (Munich), and JHU (Baltimore). He earned his MBA with focus on Entrepreneurship at THD (Deggendorf) with lectures at SCU (Silicon Valley).
