Dr. Ren is a Professor of Applied Physics and Applied Mathematics in the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Columbia University. He is also a faculty member of Columbia's Data Science Institute. His research focuses on fundamental topics in computational and applied mathematics as well as their applications in imaging
science, random networks, materials modeling, data science and quantum information, to name a few. Dr. Ren is the Co-Founder of Xofia. He oversees the company's research development.
