Kolin Jones has had aviation in his blood since day one. He took his first flight lesson in a Cessna 172 Skyhawk at the Camarillo Airport at the age of 13 and has been flying ever since. As a Boy Scout and eventually an Eagle Scout, Kolin led the aviation merit badge for his Troop and organized a flight day with the EAA Young Eagles and his Troop.
Similarly, Kolin assisted in teaching aviation while a Cadet Airman First Class in the Civil Air Patrol.
He went on to get his Private Pilot’s License from Van Nuys Airport at age 18 and continued his aviation passions at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautics and a Minor in Business Administration, while also earning his Instrument Rating.
During college, Kolin founded two companies, an Influencer Management Agency and an International Import & Export Business, selling products from overseas suppliers to niche markets on Amazon, eBay, and direct storefronts.
With the aviation experience and business expertise, Kolin founded Amalfi Jets with his long-time friend from high school, Calvin Yoon.
Kolin Jones is also the President and CEO of The Amalfi Jets Charitable Foundation, the company’s 501(c)3 non-profit public charity.
