Kirk Hall is operations director for Trust Services at Trend Micro, a global leader in cloud security which creates Internet content security and threat management solutions that make the world safe for businesses and consumers to exchange digital information. With more than 20 years of experience, Trend Micro is recognized as the market leader in
server security for delivering top-ranked client, server, and cloud-based security solutions that stop threats faster and protect data in physical, virtualized, and cloud environments.
Hall’s responsibilities include Trend Micro’s SSL digital certificate authentication operations, as well as regulatory and audit matters. He previously served in similar roles at GeoTrust and was a co-founder of certification authority AffirmTrust, which was acquired by Trend Micro in 2011. Hall has also practiced as a business attorney in Oregon and served as CEO of a professional liability insurance company for many years. Hall has been a frequent speaker at RSA and other conferences on SSL and related security matters.
He holds an A.B. degree from Harvard College, a Master’s degree in economics and resource use from Yale University, and a J.D. degree from Northwestern School of Law of Lewis and Clark College.
