Kim joined VERTU Capital in 2019 as Chief Operating Officer and Partner. With more than 20 years of private equity experience and a background in accounting, tax, operations, M&A, compliance, fund formation and investor relations, Kim brings a broad perspective with a focus on industry best practices.
Kim’s previous experience includes 14
years at TorQuest Partners where, in her roles as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer, she played a key role in building a strong back-office with a reputation for first-class operations. Prior to TorQuest, Kim was a Senior Manager in the M&A Private Equity Tax practice at Deloitte, where she focused on fund formation and transaction services. Kim also served as Chair of the CVCA CFO Task Force from 2013 to 2018, where she helped develop the Canadian ecosystem and promote knowledge sharing and collaboration among private equity and venture capital CFOs across Canada.
Outside of VERTU, Kim is co-founder of the David Cornfield Melanoma Fund and serves on its Board.
Kim is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from York University.
