Mr. Barsoum is a 44 year veteran of the IT Industry with extensive varied and Global experience. He was 35 years at IBM which included senior management positions as Vice President of IBM Canada’s Eastern Region, CFO of IBM Canada and of the IBM Consulting Group upon its creation in New York, Chairman and CEO of IBM Canada and IBM UK Holdings, as
well as General Manager of IBM Corporation’s Communications Sector and a member of IBM’s Worldwide Management Council in New York.
He was subsequently Board Director and member of the Investment Committee of CDP Capital Technologies of Montreal, one of Canada’s largest Venture Capital organizations. He was also Board Director and Co-Chair of SMTC of Markham Ontario, a NASDAQ listed company, in the Electronic Manufacturing business.
He also served, at various times, on the Boards of Cartesis of Paris, France, a PWC spin-out; of Odyssey Financial Technologies of Luxembourg; of Coventree Capital Group of Toronto, Canada; of Coradiant of San Diego, USA; of Xkoto of Boston. He was a member of the Advisory Boards of Air2Web of Atlanta and of Diversinet of Toronto, a NASDAQ listed Company.
