Mr. Walbridge joined Progressive Waste Solutions Ltd. in 2012 and assumed the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer on January 1, 2014. His experience in the waste industry is varied and spans almost 30 years. His career has taken him to a variety of national and international locations, including a stint in Saudi Arabia with
Browning-Ferris Industries Ltd. (BFI) (1982-1983). After BFI, he opened a branch of his family’s business in Phoenix, AZ. Mr. Walbridge was with Waste Management from 1985 to 1996, becoming President of Waste Management of Alameda County, CA, in 1993. In 1996, he returned to his family’s business, National ServAll, Inc. in Ft. Wayne, IN until Republic Industries bought the company in 1997. Mr. Walbridge was with Republic Services, Inc. from 1997 through late 2011, serving most recently as their Executive Vice President, Operations. Mr. Walbridge holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with a minor in Natural Resources from Ball State University in Muncie, IN. He is also a graduate of Yale’s Corporate Environmental Program. Mr. Walbridge is past president of the Detachable Container Association. He is a past Chairman and currently a member of the board of directors for the Environmental Research and Education Foundation.
