Kenneth C. Rowe founded IMP in 1967, and as Executive Chairman, he remains active in guiding and setting policy/vision for the Group.
In 1956, Mr. Rowe joined The Great Grimsby Coal Salt & Tanning Co. Ltd. which at that time was Europe’s largest manufacturer of commercial fishing equipment. In 1964, Mr. Rowe was sent to Halifax as the
managing director of their North American interests, which he left in 1967 to start IMP.
By profession he is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and the Institute of Corporate Directors. Mr. Rowe was appointed an Honorary Colonel by the Canadian Defence Department and, in 2002, was bestowed by Dalhousie University with an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree.
