Kendra Colerick, originally from Overland Park, KS, grew up in a close-knit community surrounded by nature. Her childhood, filled with outdoor adventures, laid the foundation for her diverse interests and strong sense of community. Kendra’s family, including her parents Christy and Ryan, and her brother Kevin, supported her in various activities,
fostering a nurturing environment that encouraged exploration and growth.
Kendra’s competitive nature led her to participate in multiple sports, including gymnastics, basketball, volleyball, track, and diving, where she quickly excelled due to her athletic background. Her interest in golf further highlighted her diverse athletic talents. However, her true passion emerged in the creative arts, particularly in fashion and aesthetics.
Kendra is currently a junior at Kansas State University, pursuing a degree in Graphic Design. Her passion for the arts led her to this field, where she aims to combine creativity with practical applications. Kendra focuses on developing her skills in digital media, typography, and design theory, preparing for an exciting career in the fashion or magazine industry, where she hopes to create visually engaging content that connects with audiences.
Kendra’s work experience during her college years includes roles in both food service and animal care. At Deer Creek Veterinary Clinic, she gained valuable insights into animal health, while her time at Club 27 helped her develop strong interpersonal and customer service skills. These experiences have shaped her ability to work collaboratively in diverse environments, a skill she continues to refine in her academic and extracurricular activities.
Her involvement in the Alpha Delta Pi sorority has been instrumental in expanding her social and professional network. Through this organization, Kendra has participated in numerous community service projects, reinforcing her commitment to giving back. Her volunteer work, which began in high school and continued into college, has included contributions to Youthfront camp, Giving the Basics, and various animal shelters, showcasing her dedication to social responsibility.
In her free time, Kendra enjoys snowboarding, cooking, and photography. She is known for her culinary talents, with her shrimp carbonara being a favorite among friends and family. Her passion for photography enables her to capture special moments, combining her artistic eye with a love for storytelling.
