Ken joined The Protector Group in April 2011 as Group Finance Director, was appointed as Joint Managing Director in September 2013 and appointed to the Board in 2014. Ken has overall responsibility for Finance, Administration, Compliance and Operations and took up the CEO’s role in October 2016.
Ken was previously the Finance Director of Newcastle
United Football Club Limited, a company with turnover of c. £100m, and held this position from 2000 to 2007, having previously held the roles of Chief Financial Officer and Group Financial Controller. Achievements with Newcastle United included the successful flotation of the Company on the London Stock Exchange in 1997. This experience was invaluable during a subsequent Securitisation process to raise £55m by issuing Senior Loan Notes to redevelop St James Park in 2001.
