Although I went to journalism school to be the next Oprah, I ended up as the launch queen of travel sites.
-Led U.S. PR launches of KAYAK, Jetsetter and Routehappy; contributed to PR launch of Orbitz.
-Launched KAYAK in four countries outside the U.S., managing multiple PR agencies globally; managed communications for KAYAK M&A and several
funding rounds.
-Launched several new business verticals for Jetsetter including travel agent business and vacation homes, in addition to European expansion to the UK market.
-Placed over 250 articles for Routehappy’s launch in a six month period.
What can I say, I enjoy the adrenaline rush (and sleepless nights) of openings and launches. Additional launch experience includes:
-Launched several new cruise ships and one new port for Royal Caribbean.
-Opened both Ritz-Carlton hotels in NYC.
-Opened Mohegan Sun Casino’s hotel and conference facility.
-Opened restaurant and retail additions to Mohegan Sun Casino.
-Opened restaurants for Smith & Wollensky Restaurant Group.
-Opened 50+ Starbucks stores in mid-Atlantic region.
-Opened several exhibits for The Smithsonian Institution.
