Kap Shin founded Zing networks, an early online photo sharing and rich-media community site that partnered with Hewlett Packard, Sony, Canon, Casio, Nikon, and Konica. Winner of several awards including Forbes Favorite, CNET #1 Photosite, and Fortune Magazine Cool Company, Zing was acquired by Sony ImageStation. After Zing, Kap went on to be CTO at
AirPrism, Inc., a mobile device management solution provider.
He led the design effort of a new class of enterprise software for mobile device management to allow corporate IT to centrally manage a large number of mobile devices (PDAs, laptops, smartphones) over wireless networks (802.11, GPRS, CDMA). Product recognitions include Planet PDA Product of the Year 2003 and Mobility Award 2004.
Kap was also VP of Strategic Technology Sourcing at JPMorgan Chase and Management Consultant at Bain & Co. Kap earned a B.A. in Computer Science from Brown University and an MBA from Harvard.
