Dr. Kai Desinger represents as Chairman the Management Board of Fiagon AG Medical Technologies Holding. Desinger brings a long and successful experience from the medical device industry to fiagon. After several years of research at the Laser Medicine center of the FU University in Berlin, he founded 1999 the Celon AG medical instruments in Berlin,
which he was able to sell to the Japanese blue-chip company Olympus already in 2005, where he continued to serve as CEO until the year 2008 and successfully integrated the company into the group. In 1998 Desinger was the inspiration and co-founder of the company SenoRx In Irvine, CA, USA, which was successfully sold to the company C.J. BARD in 2010. Before this he worked one year in a guest R&D role in the company Everest Medical in Minneapolis, which was later sold to Gyrus and then to Olympus. Desinger graduated with distinction (summa cum laude) at the Technical University of Berlin in the field of mechanical engineering, specialized in biomedical engineering and precision engineering. He also worked in research positions at the Laser Medicine Center and Institute for Medical Physics of the FU Berlin. He took over a teaching assignment on the topic "Technology-oriented company formation" at the TU-Berlin. Due to its extensive research activities and services for science, Dr. Desinger 2012 was awarded a honorary professorship by the Technical University of Berlin.
