As Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of the University Health Network (UHN), Justine Jackson is responsible for managing the organization’s $1.9 billion annual operating budget and is accountable for the Corporate Planning, Decision Support, Finance, Infrastructure, Joint Department of Medical Imaging and Strategic Developments
portfolios.
Justine joined UHN in 1985 and progressed through a number of management positions including executive director of Operations for the Neuroscience as well as the Musculoskeletal Health and Arthritis Programs.
Her career highlights include the due diligence and financial consolidation of the mergers over time between Toronto General Hospital, Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto Western Hospital, Doctor’s Hospital and the Toronto Rehab Institute, which together constitute Canada’s premier academic and research healthcare facility. Her implementation of case costing at UHN was foundational to understanding UHN’s financial and clinical integration.
Justine’s external experience includes membership on several funding reform advisory committees at the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, and the Council of Academic Hospitals of Ontario. She is a member of the Booth Centennial Board of Directors.
Justine also sits on several Board committees for UHN, the Toronto General & Western Hospital Foundation and Plexxus. She is a guest lecturer at the University of Toronto’s engineering faculty, and UHN’s Rotman Program at the University of Toronto.
