Justin Eichel is the technical director for Miovision, responsible for designing, prototyping, and deploying worldwide AI-based traffic solutions. Justin and his team at Miovision created and deployed the world's fastest vehicle segmentation system, deploying the GPU cloud-based operation to transform over 18,000 hours of weekly video into
traffic models and transportation analytics. They continue to expand computing from the cloud into the field using the NVIDIA Jetson platform. Previously, Justin started his own consulting company and won three international industrial awards on behalf of a Toronto-based company he represented. He holds patents for his work with AI, video encoding, statistical modeling, aerospace, and control systems. Justin earned both a Bachelor of Science and Ph.D. in systems design engineering, in the field of computer vision and statistical modeling, from the University of Waterloo.
