Juerg Schmid's passion is tourism - in all its facets. As Director of Switzerland Tourism, he positioned Switzerland around the globe as a holiday, travel and congress destination and, as "Switzerland's top seller", opened up new markets from 2000 to 2017. Sustainability and vision characterize his work - and of course his
interest in foreign cultures. Previously, Schmid was Sales & Marketing Manager at Oracle Corporation, responsible for the markets of Northern, Central and Eastern Europe, the CIS countries, the Middle East and Africa. Before joining Oracle, Schmid gained important professional experience at Bank Vontobel and Hewlett Packard. Today he is co-owner of the marketing and communications agency Schmid Pelli & Partner AG and has a seat on various boards of directors.
