Joyce Johnson is the Executive Director at Rock Steady Boxing, has more than 30 years experience leading Indiana nonprofit organizations, managing organizational change and growth.
She has been serving as the Executive Director of Rock Steady Boxing since 2011, joining the organization when the Indianapolis location was the only Rock Steady Boxing
in the country. She has been instrumental in developing the network of affiliates offering Rock Steady Boxing in 330 locations in 45 states and in seven international sites – Norway, Sweden, Holland, New Zealand, Australia, Italy and Canada.
Johnson has a special compassion for those battling Parkinson’s disease because her mother was diagnosed with Parkinson’s and lived with its debilitating symptoms for more than 10 years before she passed.
Johnson’s vision is that one day Rock Steady Boxing will be available in every community throughout the world, offering hope and a way to “fight back” to the more than 5 million people suffering with Parkinson’s disease.
