Dr. Josh Ruxin is the co-founder of GoodLife Pharmacy. In 2013, identifying the need for quality, affordable and accessible pharmaceuticals, Josh co-founded Goodlife Pharmacy with the aim of “helping the nation to look and feel good one person at a time”. In 1999, he co-founded and served as vice president of ontheFRONTIER, a strategy consulting
firm. During his five years there and at the Monitor Group, he led projects in a dozen countries and was an advisor to govt and private sector leaders on business strategy and economic development. Ruxin spent 13 years (2002-2015) as a faculty member at Columbia University, where he led the Access Project and Health Builders. Together with his wife, Alissa Ruxin, they built Heaven Restaurant and Boutique Hotel, one of Rwanda’s top destinations. Ruxin is also the author of A Thousand Hills to Heaven: Love Hope and a Restaurant in Rwanda, a memoir of his experiences in Rwanda during the past decade. Josh holds a B.A. in History of Science and Medicine from Yale University, where he was a Truman Scholar. He received a Masters of Public Health from Columbia University and a Ph.D. in History from the University of London, where he was a Marshall Scholar.
