Dr. Joseph Press is a Director and leads Deloitte Digital in Deloitte Consulting Switzerland. He has more than 15 years of experience consulting global companies in designing and implementing initiatives that achieve business results, amplify a shared vision, and accelerate organizational evolution. His expertise is designing and implementing
digital workplace solutions, including the strategy, process, UX, information architecture, mobile and social functionality.. He uses design thinking and agile methodologies to spark creativity, learning and adoption. By designing digital platforms that engage, Joseph helps to build communities that adopt new behaviours and practices across networks, business lines and geographies. Prior to Deloitte, Joseph was a practicing architect, leading design projects in the US, Germany, Israel and France. Most notably, he led the workplace design of AOL Time Warner in Paris,
Joseph completed a SMArchS and Ph.D. in Building Community at MIT. His master’s thesis explored education and learning in the design studio, and Ph.D. research focused on collaboration, cognition and innovation as catalysts to stimulate personal and organizational transformation. Joseph is a faculty member at Parsons The New School For Design in the Strategic Design & Management Masters Program, where he teaches graduate courses on design, digital business models and innovation. He previously held teaching and research positions at MIT, Delft Technical University, and Bezalel Design Academy. He completed a B.S. in Managerial Economics at Carnegie Mellon.
