José is the founding partner of Blanco Partners, an advisory firm that he established in August 2012, following a 22 year career overseeing the Australian operations of Spain’s and one of the world’s largest banks, Banco Santander. The firm has partners in Australia, Spain and several countries in Latin America.
José is an accomplished executive
with over 30 years’ experience in a variety of professional and commercial roles, both as principal and in a non-executive director and/or advisor capacity, spanning the legal, banking and commercial sectors.
José is currently also the chairman of the Australia-Latin America Business Council (www.alabc.com.au) and a counsellor of the Mark Johnson chaired, Dragoman (www.dragomanglobal.com).
Before joining Banco Santander, José practiced law for 10 years, having been a partner in the Sydney-based firms, Bodors and Cutler Hughes & Harris.
