Jong Hoon Ahnn is a staff software engineer at Samsung Research America, Silicon Valley. As a project lead in cloud research lab, he has been leading several projects including Samsung`s pioneered speech recognition service (S-Voice) and its personalization powered by big data analysis on Hadoop.

He obtained his M.S and Ph.D. in computer

science from UCLA and M.Eng in ECE from Cornell. He is a winner of Samsung global research outreach competition in 2012 and 2013, and he has 15 research publications in top conferences and journals in the area of big data computing, mobile computing, and speech recognition.
