Jonathan Doochin is an accomplished entrepreneur and investor, serving as the Executive Chairman of Firefly Capital Management, a private equity and investment firm. He has a deep passion for empowering scaling entrepreneurs to amplify their impact on the world.
Doochin's extensive experience includes leading the rollup, investment, and
growth of over a dozen companies across various sectors, including software, automotive, finance, and construction. From 2013 to 2021, he was the CEO and Chairman of Soligent Holdings Inc., a rapidly growing enterprise recognized as the second-largest solar distributor in the United States. In 2021, he successfully sold Soligent to Mangrove LTD, subsequently becoming the Global CEO and later Executive Chairman, overseeing renewable distribution operations in Africa, Europe, the U.K., and the U.S..
Prior, Doochin co-founded Clark Energy Group, a national Energy Service Company (ESCO) that received a $5 billion IDIQ contract for renewable energy development projects with the US government. Additionally, he has served in the public sector as a Senior Advisor in the Secretary of Energy's office at the U.S. Department of Energy, where he played a key role in deploying $13 billion in energy funds. Doochin started his career at McKinsey & Company.
Doochin is an alumnus of Harvard College and Harvard Business School, where he pursued his passion for education by co-founding two leadership institutes focused on fostering leadership development and educational initiatives. In his spare time, Doochin enjoys hiking, running, traveling, and mentoring the next generation of leaders.
