Jon Farzam is a talented and experienced professional in the hospitality industry who was first introduced to the industry during his childhood. Growing up in a family of hospitality professionals, Jon's passion for the industry powered his drive and has helped him advance in
his career to his current position as Vice President of The Shore Hotel in Santa Monica, California.
In his position, Jon Farzam has made it his personal mission to provide guests with a luxury experience that was also eco-conscious. Through implementations like a swimming pool heated using solar energy to an elevator that is 75% more efficient than its conventional counterpart, The Shore Hotel has earned LEED Gold Certification and Santa Monica Green Certification as well as reaching the California Green Lodging Program's Environmentalist level.
The Shore Hotel’s eco-conscious efforts have resulted in exceeding the California minimum energy performance by a staggering 21%. In addition to the hotel’s sustainable features, Jon Farzam and his team have ensured the standard luxuries that make hotel stays so pleasant have not been forgotten. They are located within walking distance of the incredible downtown Santa Monica and all its bars, cafes, and shops—not to mention their beautiful spot across the road from the Pacific ocean.
Alongside his career, John Farzam is an active member of his community, involved with programs like The Surf Bus Foundation, a non-profit that brings underprivileged children to visit the beach.

To find catharsis, he can often be found traveling, in a match on the tennis court, mountain biking in the stunning California hills, or racing cars. Jon Farzam is also a passionate philanthropist and is active within many causes, including the Surf Bus Foundation, a local organization that hosts bus trips for inner-city kids to visit the beach—many of which have never even seen the ocean.
