I worked for 15 years as an M&A lawyer in private practice, and then in my second career moved to a client in corporate development, continued to Chief Financial Officer, and then to lead all International operations. I took time out to launch my own Internet company in Paris which developed software for the recruiting industry. When we went
out to raise Series A, we got an offer to buy, and accepted. We stayed two years and became #1 in market share in our niche in Europe. After my non-compete expired, i left and shortly thereafter got recruited to become CEO of a public company headquartered in NY. After 10 years of constant travel, I took early retirement to focus on early stage companies. I am on the Board of two of them and work closely with many other start ups in Chicago. I am an active Angel investor both individually and through HYDE Park Angels.
