Jon Brodd founded Cima NanoTech Inc. in 2003 and was recognized by the World Economic Forum as a Technology Pioneer in 2008. From its inception, he positioned Cima NanoTech to lead the development and commercialization of nanometal-based products to enable next-generation transparent conductors. Jon has driven Cima NanoTech’s proprietary SANTE®
Technology into new markets like transparent and moldable EMI shielding, large format touch displays, transparent heaters, OLED lighting and photovoltaic.
Prior to founding Cima NanoTech, Jon led New Business Development at 3M where he initiated and managed new businesses across divisions and technologies from Automotive to Multi-Layer Optical Films. He was a leading member of 3M’s Nano-Scale Multi-Layer Film (MOF) Strategic Steering Committee and led international teams of scientist, engineers and business managers to develop and launch Nano-Scale MOF products in major markets globally.
Prior to 3M, Jon was a partner in an M&A firm, has travelled and lived abroad for over 30 years and is conversant in many languages.
He holds an MBA in Marketing and Strategic Management from the University of Minnesota
