As deputy Chairman John Stace brings a wealth of experience in the financial services industry. John returned to New Zealand after a career spanning 25 years in the City of London. He built from scratch Stace Barr Limited a Lloyd’s of London Underwriting Agency.
By 1997 it was the single largest capital provider to the Lloyd’s market with a
share of 10% of Lloyd’s capacity. Stace Barr was acquired by Angerstein Underwriting Trust PLC a quoted Investment Trust in 1997 of which John Stace was its first CEO.
John was Deputy Chairman of Lloyd’s of London in 1995 and 1996, a member of Lloyd’s Market Board, a member of Lloyd’s Regulatory Board and Chairman of Lloyd’s Charities Trust.
Since returning to New Zealand he has served on the Board of Genesis Power and until it was sold to Jade Corporation was Chairman of Methodware Ltd.
John is also currently a member of the Board of Equestrian Sports of New Zealand, Deputy Chairman of 3R Group Ltd, director of New Zealand Thoroughbred racing and the Chairman of the Advisory board of Trinity Hill Winery Ltd.
