John Skinner is the VP of Business Development at Illumio.
John has more than 20 years experience in creating shareholder value, in both startups and large corporate ventures. John joined HyTrust from Intel, where he was Director of Security Business Development. In that role, John drove ecosystem strategy, started up new security technology
co-development and go-to-market alliances, assisted in the integration of Intel's McAfee acquisition, and served on the Security and Privacy Committee of the National Association of State CIO's (NASCIO).
Prior, John was a Venture Investment Manager in Intel Capital; started up Intel's software co-development and go-to-market partnerships with Oracle, SAP, and Apple; and led Corporate Strategy teams. John founded and built Intel's first Enterprise Marketing group, helping grow Intel's datacenter business from $500 Million to $3 Billion per year. Prior, John led a sales and applications engineering team that grew revenue from $300 Million to more than $1 Billion per year, using ground-breaking channel and technology partnering strategies.
John earned his MBA from Rutgers University, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University, where he is a Guest Lecturer on Corporate Development.
