John has extensive experience advising multinational clients to drive growth, reduce risk, and anticipate the opportunities presented by a rapidly changing business environment. He has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by companies competing on the international stage and of the prospects presented by emerging markets and new
technologies.
As Chairman of KPMG in Spain since 2005, he has developed the firm’s multidisciplinary and sector-specialised approach, with the aim of maximising the opportunities to contribute greater value to private and public entities in a constantly changing global financial context.
In Spain, his home for almost 30 years, John has an active role in the business community and chairs the International Relations Committee, of the Spanish Confederation of Directors and Executives (CEDE). He is on the protectorate of The Spanish Royal Opera Theatre and is a Board member of the Queen Sophia Museum in Madrid.
He holds an Economics Degree from the University of Strathclyde and is a member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland and the Spanish Official Register of Auditors, as well as being a member of the ESADE business school’s Advisory Board.
