John Reinker was named the General Manager of Global Projects Operation in 2012. GE Power and Water is a world-leading provider of traditional and renewable power generation technology which includes gas, steam, nuclear, wind, aero-derivative generators, solar electric products, gas-fueled reciprocating engine generators, turnkey and extended scope
power plant services, gasification technologies and Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) systems.
John's GE career began in 1984 as engineer within the Power Generation Business. In 1997, he was promoted as the product general manager for large steam turbines. He subsequently held several engineering general manager leadership roles including steam turbine-generator, gas turbine technology in Greenville, Energy Services in Atlanta and sustainable energy at GE’s Corporate Research and Development Center.
In 2006, John was promoted as the general manager of heavy duty gas turbine and combined cycle product management where he set the overall gas turbine and combined cycle business strategy.
John holds a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University and a MS degree from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
