John Erickson joined American Capital as Chief Financial Officer in January 1998 and was named President, Structured Finance in 2008. Mr. Erickson serves on American Capital’s investment committee and he has more than 25 years of finance and accounting experience in private and public company settings.
Mr. Erickson is also the Chief Financial
Officer and Executive Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors of American Capital Agency Corp. (Nasdaq: AGNC), a real estate investment trust (“REIT”) formed in 2008. American Capital Agency Corp. invests in agency pass-through securities and collateralized mortgage obligations for which the principal and interest payments are guaranteed by a U.S. Government agency or a U.S. Government-sponsored entity.
Mr. Erickson is the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors of American Capital Mortgage Investment Corp. (Nasdaq: MTGE), a REIT formed in 2011 that invests in and manages a leveraged portfolio of agency mortgage investments, non-agency mortgage investments and other mortgage-related investments.
Mr. Erickson is also the Executive Vice President and Treasurer of American Capital Asset Management, LLC (f/k/a American Capital, LLC), the asset fund management portfolio company of American Capital, Ltd.
