John W. Madigan joined our Board in 2005. He is the retired Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Tribune Company, a director and former Chairman of the Robert R. McCormick Foundation and a director of Boise Cascade Holdings, L.L.C.
Madigan is also a former member of the Defense Business Board of the Department of Defense, an advisor to
Madison Dearborn Partners and a director and former Chairman of The Chicago Council on Global Affairs.
He previously served as a director of AT&T Wireless and Morgan Stanley. He serves as a trustee of Northwestern University and Rush University Medical Center. Madigan is a member and former Chairman of The Commercial Club of Chicago and a director of New Schools for Chicago.
