John Machin joined JS Held in March of 2011.
Prior to joining JS Held, Machin established AES Consulting Group, Inc. and assumed responsibilities as the principal executive. AES provided consulting services for numerous clients in the insurance industry regarding resolution of property claims. AES also provided professional estimating services
and property condition reports for architects and the banking industry.
Machin entered the consulting industry in 1998 with Young & Associates where he consulted on numerous insurance claims until starting AES in 2007. Prior to joining Young & Associates, he spent 30 years developing from an enthusiastic laborer to a licensed contractor.
Machin has diligently endeavored to expand his knowledge and scope of responsibilities within the industry. While working in the competitive bid construction industry for the first thirty years, he gained extensive knowledge of construction systems associated with estate homes, tract homes, light industrial, concrete tilt-up, pre-engineered metal buildings, hotels, strip centers, laundries, restaurants, commercial buildings, multi-tenant and subterranean garages.
Machin also managed projects with stipulated sum contracts, demanding scheduling deadlines and liquidated damages clauses. These experiences provide the knowledge and experience necessary for generating comprehensive damage and repair assessments as well as construction schedules for property claims resolution.
