Mr. Petersen was President, Treasurer and CEO of the Erie Insurance Group consisting of seven companies, two listed and served as a director for each. Assets grew from $20 million when he was hired in 1962 to $4.6 billion when he retired in 1995.
He was an investment consultant for seven years managing $7 billion dollars of equity funds. He
personally selected, bought, and sold all securities. He currently is a director for Cardiorobotics, ClearCount, FI-360, and Neograft.
Mr. Petersen has made significant contributions to the University of Pittsburgh to create the Petersen Event Center, the Petersen Olympic Sports Complex and the Petersen Nano Technology Center. Mr. Petersen has started the Petersen Foundation to help humanity.
