John Flannery is the Senior Vice President for Corporate Business Development and is based in Fairfield, Connecticut. He has held this role since April 2013.Prior to this, Mr. Flannery was President and CEO for GE India where he was directly responsible for all of GE’s operations in the country. Mr. Flannery has been with GE for over 25 years and
has held several senior leadership positions in the company. He has extensive experience in building and leading large teams and growing businesses in global assignments.
Mr. Flannery was also President & CEO, GE Capital, Asia Pacific. Before that, Mr. Flannery was President and CEO of GE Commercial Finance, Asia. Prior to joining GE Commercial Finance, Asia, John was Managing Director and Business Leader of the Bank Loan Group (BLG) for GE Corporate Financial Services where he managed one of the largest global institutional loan portfolios valued at nearly $10 Billion, with a specific emphasis on distressed debt investments.
Prior to joining BLG, Mr. Flannery was President and CEO of GE Equity, the $6 Billion private equity arm of GE Capital and before that held a number of leadership positions in the leveraged finance and private equity sectors, including two years as President and CEO, GE Capital Argentina and Chile.Mr. Flannery is a 1983 graduate of Fairfield University and holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
