John Karwowski has been in practice for more than 22 years; he is currently a vascular surgeon based in Baltimore, Maryland. John Karwowski received his Bachelor of Arts at Rutgers University in 1991, and afterwards earned his Doctorate of Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine in 1995. Dr. Karwowski then completed his residency in general surgery and his fellowship training in vascular surgery at Stanford University School of Medicine/Stanford University Hospital, CA.
Prior to his current position in Maryland, John Karwowski practiced vascular surgery in the Miami, Florida area and, during this time, was associated with a bevy of hospitals and institutions in the surrounding area of Southern Florida, such as Miami Veterans Healthcare System, the University of Miami Hospital, the Jackson Memorial Hospital and the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
Before his time in Miami, John Karwowski had practiced vascular surgery in New York City for the majority of his career. Dr. Karwowski had practiced at a variety of well-known, highly-reputable institutions, such as the New York Presbyterian Hospital and Weill Cornell Medical Center as an attending surgeon, where he was also involved in installing the new zeego machine for the OR systems, ensuring that they were perfectly tailored to the needs of vascular surgeons.
Prior to that, Dr. Karwowski was the chief of vascular surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery. Dr. Karwowski had also spent time at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center as an assistant attending vascular surgeon.
Through John Karwowski's extensive career, both professional and academic, he has learned and honed the skills necessary to treat any and all conditions of the vascular system. Dr. Karwowki's unrelenting determination and care for his patients has made him one of the leading professionals in his field.
Although he is still relatively new to the Baltimore area, John Karwowski is eager to prove himself to his fellow peers and community members. With his proven track record, expertise in his field and exceptional communications skills, John will surely be a staple of his community in no time.
Currently, John Karwowski serves as the Director of Vascular Acute Care Surgery at the University of Maryland. In this position, John is entrusted with the responsibility of providing the utmost care and professionalism to his patients. With his deep knowledge of the vascular system, John is capable of curing any and all maladies pertaining to the complicated vascular system. He also serves as an associate professor of surgery at the university, where he passes on his vast amount of wealth to a new generation of surgeons.
