Mr. Edwards has been involved in technology commercialization for more than 30 years including three prior startup companies.
Before launching MacuLogix, he was co-founder and CEO of Photonic Sensor, an optical chip in-vitro diagnostic company. Mr. Edwards has raised more than $18 million of venture capital and grant funding, and negotiated
numerous agreements with companies such as Abbott Laboratories, Roche Diagnostics, Applied Biosystems, Smiths Industries and Genomic Solutions.
He holds SB and SM degrees in physics from MIT and an MBA from University of Chicago.
